I was wondering what benefits you get from siding with the Dorganian government and if there are any additional benefits to supporting the rebellion.

So I was wandering around and I just sorta walked past the guy and out of bounds. Also I have no clue where I am supposed to go I've been wandering around for like 3 hours. I've done a few quests but nothing that felt like I was on the right track.
